The Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana, invites researchers, policymakers, practitioners, students and the general public to participate in the inaugural Metropolis International Migration Network webinar on Externalization of Migration Governance and its Impact on the Right to Asylum.
Organized in the lead-up to World Refugee Day 2026, the webinar will examine evolving refugee regimes, the externalization of migration governance, and the implications for protection standards, international cooperation, and the rights of migrants and displaced populations.
The session will bring together academic, policy and practitioner perspectives to discuss key issues shaping migration governance and asylum protection in today’s global context.
