Governance and Structure
The Centre for Migration Studies (CMS) operates through a well-defined governance and administrative structure that ensures effective coordination, academic excellence, and strategic development. The Centre’s structure is composed of the following:
- Advisory Board – Provides strategic guidance, policy direction, and oversight for the Centre’s activities.
- Management Committee – Oversees the day-to-day management, academic programmes, and operational decisions of the Centre.
- Inter-Faculty Working Group – Draws representatives from relevant departments and institutes across the University to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and enrich the Centre’s academic and research initiatives.
- Finance Committee – Responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and ensuring prudent use of the Centre’s resources.
- Units – Specialized units that support research, training, outreach, and administrative functions.
- Administrative Secretary – Serves as Secretary to the Centre’s Boards and Committees, ensuring smooth coordination, communication, and documentation.
