Overview


CMS admitted 16 MA/Phil. students for the 2016/17 academic year. In addition, 9 students enrolled in our PhD programme commencing 2016/17. The total duration for the PhD is four years. So far, CMS has admitted and trained students from a variety of countries both within the African continent and also beyond. The leading countries of origin for our foreign students have included the following: Nigeria, sierra Leone, Kenya, Liberia, Italy and Hungary.


Resources

CMS Resource Centre

Our library is functional and a subsidiary of the Balme library. It provides services for both lecturers and students alike. The resource centre houses a collection of books, journals and articles on migration and other related issues published worldwide. The books, articles and journals currently in stock are for reference purposes only.

Library Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm

 

Balme Library

The Balme Library, one of Africa's most distinguished research libraries is the main library of the University of Ghana Library System. It is located on the main campus of the University. It consists of 6 departments and 1 special library for the physically handicapped. You would have access to a collection of more than 100 thousand books, 500 microfilms, CD's, tapes and impressive holdings of rare books, prints and archives. The library also offers access to extensive electronic resources.
