Appointment of New Director at CMS

The centre for migration studies wishes to announce the appointment of Dr. Joseph Kofi Teye as the new Director which took effect from September 1, 2017. He takes over from Dr (Mrs) Delali Badasu who served for two terms. Prior to his appointment Dr. Teye has been the course coordinator at the centre since 2010. He is also a senior lecturer with the Department of Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana. He holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Leeds and a Master of Philosophy degree in Social Change from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His current research interests and publications include environmental change and migration, reproductive health of migrants, natural resource policy analysis, and poverty alleviation programmes and research methodology. Thus the rich knowledge, expertise and experience that he brings to the centre will further strengthen and continue to increase the success stories at the centre. The centre looks forward to a new wave of academic and research excellence.
